The McCoy Family

With a vision to train and equip families for missions, the McCoy’s pioneered Rancho Abierto, a unique YWAM base that blends family discipleship, community, and hands-on experience. From building houses in Mexico to sharing the gospel in unreached villages of South Asia, their family’s missionary journey has been marked by a commitment to follow Jesus where he leads. The McCoy’s joined YWAM in 2017 and were trained in Kona, HI. They are the base directors and lead the FDTS at Rancho Abierto. They have five adult children and five grandchildren.

The Lopez family

The Lopez family has been involved with the dream of YWAM Rancho Abierto from the very beginning. The Lopez’s completed their Family DTS in 2021 and a Bible School for the Nations (BSN) in 2023. They have and continue to serve in many different ways, including teaching Foundation School, Kid’s BSN, and leading outreaches to Panama and the Philippines.

The Sabicer Family

The Sabicer family has been serving at Rancho Abierto since attending the first FDTS as students in 2021. Since then, they have staffed in many roles throughout the adventure of pioneering a new base. In the fall of 2023 they attended and staffed the first Family BSN and now are leading the school in 2024. They have two daughters that were both born in Mexico; Dahlia in 2022 and Yesenia in 2024.
